Shane Delia – Celebrity Chef

Shane Delia is one hell of a chef. The award-winning restaurateur is best known for his original culinary style of cooking which has fascinated diners at his two Melbourne restaurants Maha and St Katherine’s for years. With his eyes firmly focused on business opportunities nationally and internationally, Shane Delia has big things on the horizon.

Having grown up in a large Maltese family, Shane serves delightful Middle Eastern food like nothing you’ve tasted before. Unsurprisingly, this unique style has earned Maha One Chef Hat in The Age Good Food Guide annually since 2009, as well as Shane being named Australian Young Achiever of the Year 2012 from Restaurant and Catering Australia. Meanwhile at St Katherine’s, diners enjoy a much more casual, family-friendly experience. The success of Shane’s restaurants is testament to his hard-working, entrepreneurial attitude. Used to the high stress levels in the Kitchen, Shane will need all his experience under pressure as he takes to the track as part of the Mazda6 Celebrity Challenge in 2013.
