Kids Sporting Zone

Bring the family over to the Kids Sporting Zone to get active and test their sporting skills on one of the many inflatables or sporting activities including Netball, Soccer, Golf, Rugby and more.


  • Australian Sailing

    Australian Sailing is the national sporting organisation (NSO) for sailing, and peak body for recreational boating at clubs in Australia. They are a Federation with more than 360 affiliated Clubs, who between them have approximately 65,000 registered on-water members. Sailing is a sport for everyone for life so we invite everyone to come to see everything sailing can offer.

  • Melbourne Victory F.C.

    Melbourne Victory, known for their passion and amazing soccer skills, will be giving children the opportunity to be a Melbourne Victory player for the day!  Join Melbourne Victory on their inflatable soccer field and test out your foot skills.  

  • Hockey Australia

    Have fun playing on the ‘field’ with Hockey Australia!  Practice your field hockey and see how you compare to the professionals.  

    Fun for all the family, stop past the marquee to take a picture as one of your favourite players! 

  • Rowing Victoria

    New to the Kids Sporting Zone this year, Rowing Victoria will have indoor rowing machines onsite for all children to enjoy! Stop past their marquee to take part in the activity and learn more about the organisation’s pride in making rowing more accessible and enjoyable for the children of Victoria! 

  • Victorian Rugby Union (VRU)

    VIVA 7s is the new, non-contact, version of rugby 7’s that can be played by men and women and boys and girls of all ages, no matter the sporting background. VIVA 7s gives participants a safe and fun environment to have a high intensity workout. It’s the best way to get fit and have fun with your family and friends.

  • National Rugby League

    Join the National Rugby League Game Development Team to learn the kick, pass and catch Rugby League skills at the Kids Sporting Zone. 

  • Melbourne Aces

    Hosts of the 2017 Australian Baseball League Championship series, for the first time ever, Melbourne Aces and Baseball Victoria will be teaming up at the 2017 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix to bring baseball to our young fans!

    Stop by the Kids Sporting Zone to have a go at their pitching tunnel and test your skills amongst some of Australia’s biggest champs! 

  • Melbourne City Football Club

    Have you ever wanted to improve your football skills and test out your ‘A-game’? Well now is your chance! Melbourne City Football Club is bringing out all of the stops to help you achieve your football ‘goals’. 

    Stop past the marquee to ‘score’ new skills and friends within the league! 

  • Ski & Snow Board Australia

    Who says you can’t enjoy the snow in the summertime?  Ski & Snow Board Australia have created an exciting circuit for the Kids Sporting Zone!  Join their team and enjoy the ramps and obstacle course at their ski and snowboarding park; you’ll walk away with new tips and tricks.

  • Triathlon Victoria

    Triathlon Victoria is excited to bring their national junior participation program to the 2017 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Kids Sporting Zone. Stop past their marquee and learn their take on FUNdamental skills – agility, balance, coordination, speed, running, and buoyancy to name a few.  From there, you’ll be a triathlete in no time!

  • Bowls Victoria

    Bowls is for everyone! Stop passed the Bowls Victoria marquee to participate in a modified junior lawn bowls game with some of Victoria’s best bowlers!

    There will be plenty of opportunities to meet upcoming talent and interact with other young bowlers. 

  • Lacrosse Victoria

    Ever wanted to play lacrosse?  Stop by the Lacrosse Victoria marquee to test your skills and try the fastest sport on two feet. 

  • Golf Victoria

    MyGolf is Australia’s national junior introductory program designed to develop and promote participation in golf. The MyGolf program offers fun, social and accessible introduction to the sport of golf while promoting physical and skill development. Come along to our activation at the Grand Prix to try your skills in our hitting bay…it’s loads of fun for all the family!
