The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is delighted to announce that the popular street culture precinct, M-Lane, will be returning to the 2017 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix, at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit from March 23-26.
For a second consecutive year, M-Lane will be the ultimate fan attraction at the four-day event celebrating everything that is truly Melbourne - food trucks, live music, coffee and street art.
AGPC, General Manager of Motorsport, Entertainment and Industry, Craig Fletcher, is incredibly excited to show interstate and international visitors what Melbourne’s iconic laneway vibe and food scene is all about.
“Food and sport are a big part of Melbourne’s identity and M-Lane provides the perfect platform to showcase these two loves and re-create all that is great about our city - it really will be the place to be off-track,” said Fletcher.
“Our aim for this event is to build on the success of last year’s M-Lane and provide an environment where fans can enjoy some of the best music, bars and food Melbourne has to offer with the addition of Heineken Village and the main music stage,” continued Fletcher.
There will be an assortment of popular food trucks for fans to enjoy including Sliders on Tyres, Nem n Nem, Huxtaburger, 400 Gradi, St Kilda Burger Bar, Manny’s Doughnuts, Loaded Gourmet Hotdogs, Wingsters, Bites on Wheels, Cab 55 and Birra Moretti while watching all the action live on the super screen.
Live music will also be a key feature of the precinct with performances on Friday from international RnB stars, Rudimental headlining Heineken Saturday and a well-known Australian act revving up fans prior to the race on Sunday.
