It was a case of déjà vu in the second Porsche Carrera Cup race at the 2017 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, as Nick McBride again claimed the honours from teammate Andrew Heimgartner and Cameron McConville.
The 10-lap race was a procession, with the pecking order established at turn one for not only the podium finishes but also positions 4-6 as former Carrera Cup champion Alex Davison slotted himself in front of David Wall and Dylan O'Keefe.
And that's how the top six remained, with McBride winning by 0.78 seconds ahead of Heimgartner, who in turn enjoyed a 1.49-second buffer over McConville.
Michael Almond and Lars Kern were seventh and eighth.
It was McBride's third Carrera Cup win at Albert Park, equalling the same level of success as Davison.
All 15 drivers completed the distance, with Jaxon Evans a non-starter.
Race three is at 12:45pm on Saturday.
