General Information

At the 2012 Formula 1™ Australian Grand Prix fans at the Albert Park circuit will witness six world champions and, for the first time in Formula One history, two Aussies on the Melbourne F1 grid plus an array of the world's most entertaining motor sport support categories. V8 Supercars, the Porsche Carrera Cup, Group A – C Touring Cars, Formula Fords, Shannons Historic Demonstration, Ultimate Speed Comparison, Formula SAE winning cars, classic Ferraris and Red Bull Race Off will all line up in support of the first Formula 1 race of the 2012 season.

The off-track action will also be fast and furious with the Crusty Demons showing off their death-defying aerial skills in the Crusty Demons Cup – four days of competition culminating in the post-race entertainment grand finale. Meanwhile the Royal Australian Air Force takes to the skies above Albert Park with the Roulettes and F/A-18s both in action.

The Globe of Death, Extreme Water Stunt Show, Renault Jet Pack Man and Mega Drop are set to thrill fans in the Action Zone while V8 Village gives racegoers the chance to meet motor sport personalities at the Carsales.com.au Autograph stage, try their hand at the V8 Simulator and check out support category cars and the Swisse two-seater F1 Minardi. While the Kids Zone entertains families with the Porsche Kids Drive School and Disney Activities, the music will be pumping at Sidetracked with Flo Rida, Grandmaster Flash, Art vs Science, Grant Smillie and Bombs Away headlining.
