The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix Giant Helmet is hitting the road to Sydney for Telstra 500 from December 2-4.
In its first tour outside Victoria, the Giant Helmet will be a major off-track attraction at the V8 Supercars, offering race fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with the sport of Formula 1.
Featuring brand new livery and a number of new and exciting features for 2012, the Giant Helmet is a source of everything that is fun and fascinating about Grand Prix racing.
Compare your height to drivers past and present, watch Aussie Mark Webber take on the Albert Park circuit in our simulator, and come face to face with a genuine F1 steering wheel. New for this year, fans can also book tickets to the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at the touch screen ticket booth inside the helmet.
And, if you’ve always wanted to attend the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, this could be your chance. Everybody who visits the Giant Helmet during the Sydney Telstra 500 has the chance to enter our competition to win a travel package including flights, accommodation, and tickets to the 2012 Australian Grand Prix.
Located at Merchandise Alley (Olympic Boulevard) at the Sydney Olympic Park circuit, the Giant Helmet is open from 8am to 6pm daily.
The final race of the 2011 season, the Sydney Telstra 500 sees some of the biggest names in V8 Supercars, including Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes and Mark Winterbottom battling it out for podium honours while some of Australia’s greatest live acts, including Hunters and Collectors and John Farnham, entertain off-track.
