Less than a week before the spotlight is on Melbourne for the 2013 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix, the Swisse F1 Two-Seater revved up residents of Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley by putting on an exhilarating display along High St and at the Shepparton Showgrounds.
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation in conjunction with Greater Shepparton City Council coordinated the activities, with V8 Supercars driver Cam McConville the trusted man behind the wheel of the Swisse F1 Two-Seater.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO, Andrew Westacott, was delighted to share Formula One with regional Victoria.
“This time next week, the eyes of the world will be on Melbourne to watch the Australian Grand Prix. We always receive great support from regional Victorian cities like Shepparton, so we are thrilled to share some of the excitement and bring this exciting display to town,” said Westacott.
“There is a massive appetite for motorsport in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley region, and as a show of our gratitude we are pleased we could put on a show with the Swisse F1 Two-Seater to say thanks to local residents for their ongoing support.”
Mayor of Greater Shepparton, Cr Jenny Houlihan, who experienced the adrenalin of Formula One first hand as a passenger in the Swisse F1 Two-Seater said it was a thrilling experience.
“It was exhilarating and exciting and what made it even better was that it was in my home town of Shepparton,” Cr Houlihan said.
