Warren makes it five from six, as Mark Fattore reports.
Warren Luff hardly raised a sweat in completing the Porsche Carrera Cup support class program at the 2014 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix with another routine victory.
In the process, Luff brought up his fifth win from six starts in the 2014 Carrera Cup title, which now continues at Phillip Island from May 23-25.
Race three produced the same top seven as race two, with Luff followed home by Steve Richards, Craig Baird, Sam Power, Nick McBride and Michael Almond.
Luff’s overall victory this outing snapped Baird’s four-year winning streak at Albert Park.
“We had a really strong race car today, said Luff.
“I didn’t get the best start again today, but defended heavily on lap one and I didn’t have to win by too much – it was as much about looking out for the car at the end.
“I couldn’t be happier with how it’s all turned out this weekend, and I’m looking forward to the balance of the season.”
Shae Davies and Duvashen Padayachee were eighth and ninth in race three, with the leading Elite driver, Roger Lago, in 10th. All 23 drivers completed the 10-lap distance.
