For 2011, Virgin paired regular driver Timo Glock with their reserve driver Jerome D’Amrosio who replaced Brazilian Lucas di Grassi from 2010
It is the second consecutive time for the team to finish last in the Constructors standings and must improve to confirm the teams future

Frenchman Charles Pic has been drafted into the team, who finished 4th in the GP2 Series with Spanish Barwa Addax Team, where drivers like Sergio Perez, Vitaly Petrov and Romain Grosjean cut their teeth
The team recently decided to abandon their plans to design the car solely with the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and has signed an agreement with McLaren to utilise their technical facilities
Marussia (Russian Car manufacturer) has taken a controlling stake in the team from Virgin
