Aussie fans will hope Mark Webber can make his 2011 results read 5-4-3-2-1 by repeating his brilliant Barcelona win from 2010.
“The circuit is great, the surface and layout are both very good for driving an F1 car on the limit,” says Webber.
How will the new DRS affect the racing in Spain? It’s always been a hard place to overtake even though all the drivers know it so well from testing.
This is the 21st race at the Circuit de Catalunya: 16 – including the last 10 – have been won from pole position so Webber, the McLarens and Alonso’s Ferrari really need to keep Sebastian Vettel off the top spot on the grid!
It’s also the ‘real’ start to the European season, which means many teams will bring significant updates to their cars – with Ferrari first and foremost among them.
