The Australian Grand Prix Corporation and Lexus Australia are pleased to announce the complete field for the 2011 Lexus Celebrity Challenge.
This stellar line-up consists of a mix of sport, TV and radio personalities plus five lucky promotional winners that all have one thing in common…winning!
This sentiment rings true for singer Brian McFadden, “It’s not very often you are given the chance to be part of such a race and I’m certainly not doing this just for fun – I’m doing this to win!”

Training commences on Monday with an induction and suit fitting, before a two-day intensive driver training course under the instruction of leading rally driver Neal Bates and his team.
The group will first take to the Albert Park circuit in practice sessions on Thursday and Friday to get a feel for the track before strapping themselves in for races on Saturday and Sunday.
The competition promises to be fierce with all drivers eager for a podium finish.
“There’s a few of us in the Lexus Celebrity Challenge who share the same competitive sporting streak. I can’t wait to get out there and give them all a run for their money,” said Ironman champ Shannon Eckstein.
About the Lexus CT 200h Celebrity Challenge
Lexus is bringing back the Celebrity Challenge race to the 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix after the event’s two-year hiatus with its soon-to-be-launched CT 200h hybrid hatchback.
28 new Lexus CT 200h luxury sports hybrid hatch will race around the Albert Park track, proving hybrids can be fun while still being environmentally conscious.
Significantly, the Lexus Celebrity Challenge will be the first hybrid-only race staged globally and will feature two winners – one for outright podium position and one for environmentally friendly performance.
