Vettel scores 11th World Title for Renault Sport F1

Renault Sport F1 celebrates their third back-to-back Constructors’ World Title in the FIA Formula One World Championship™ after a dramatic Brazilian GP.

Renault-powered Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel had secured the points he needed in the USA to win his third Drivers’ World Title in as many F1 seasons, becoming the youngest-ever consecutive triple World Champion.

Renault has powered Sebastian to all three of his titles and all but one of his 26 career wins and 36 pole positions.

A great finish to a hard 2012 season, Renault has once again proved itself as the champion of engine makers. Three of the top six drivers in the final overall standings were Renault-powered, with Kimi Raikkonen in third place and Australian Mark Webber in sixth.

Altogether, Renault has achieved a total of 839 points and nine race wins across all four Renault-powered teams this season, including Red Bull Racing, Caterham, Lotus and Williams, as well as the double Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles.

Congratulations to all Renault drivers on a brilliant year.
