Schumacher out of a coma, leaves Grenoble Hospital

Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is no longer in a coma and has left the Grenoble Hospital where he was being treated.

The German was transferred to a hospital in the Swiss city of Lausanne, where he will continue his rehabilitation.

Schumacher struck his head on a rock while skiing with friends and his son in December last year at the French ski resort of Meribel, forcing doctors to place him into a coma to reduce swelling and to let his brain rest.
