Formula One fever revs up Shepparton

Less than a week before the spotlight is on Melbourne for the 2013 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix, the Swisse F1 Two-Seater revved up residents of Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley by putting on an exhilarating display along High St and at the Shepparton Showgrounds.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation in conjunction with Greater Shepparton City Council coordinated the activities, with V8 Supercars driver Cam McConville the trusted man behind the wheel of the Swisse F1 Two-Seater.

It's A Young Man's World

As we prepare to enjoy the 64th season of World Championship Grand Prix racing, the influx of five rookies has brought the average age of the 22-man grid for 2013 down to just 26.


Of the newcomers, the youngest is 21-year-old Esteban Gutiérrez, the Sauber F1 Team driver who will be Mexico’s second representative on the grid after replacing his compatriot Sergio Pérez, now with McLaren.

V8 legends ready for F1 frenzy

The legends of V8 Supercars are revved up and ready for action at the 2013 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix with the drivers set to battle it out for line honours whilst keeping a watchful eye on new recruit Casey Stoner.

All of the superstars will be out on show during the four days of racing across the MSS Security V8 Supercars Challenge with Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes, Mark Winterbottom, Will Davison and Todd Kelly all taking to the starting grid.

Former AGPC Board member, James Strong AO, passes away

Chairman, Mr Ronald J Walker AC CBE, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation Board and staff members express their sadness following the passing of James Strong AO.

As a former member of the AGPC Board, James provided exceptional leadership and made an enormous contribution to both the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. He was a wonderful supporter of motorsport in Australia and his generosity of spirit will live on through the careers of those he fostered and encouraged wholeheartedly. His wise counsel will be sadly missed.

Fearless Nitro Circus Live riders catch Formula 1 fever

The stars of Nitro Circus Live previewed their high flying, freestyle motocross stunts today ahead of their thrilling line up of shows at the 2013 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix.

In an Australian first, Blake "Bilko" Williams, Jarryd McNiel, Steve Mini and Matty McFarren performed a series of daring back-flips and trick trains along the main straight of the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
