Australian Defence Force

Australian Defence Force on the ground

With an array of interactive displays around the circuit, the Australian Defence Force provides race goers with a real insight into the people and purpose behind our Army. In 2013 Team Army will be bringing back the Project Digger and Armygeddon vehicles, and the opportunity to try out some cool equipment. Get to the Action Zone to meet some of the ADF personnel and find out more about ADF recruitment. Also, don’t forget to check out the Rising Suns Army Band in the Golf Course Precinct.

Open all day Thursday – Sunday.

Australian Defence Force in the air

One of the most popular attractions at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix returns again in 2013 with the Royal Australian Air Force Roulette aerial displays and F/A-18 fly-overs. Flying in formation at speeds of up to 590km per hour in the skies above Albert Park, the spectacular precision flying and aerobatics of the RAAF Roulettes will again thrill race goers on all days of the event.

Aerial displays will take place twice daily Friday – Sunday.
