Qantas is proud to be the Official Airline of Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, with 2015 being the 31st year of the partnership. Qantas is the world’s second oldest airline, celebrating 95 years of operation this year. It was founded in the Queensland outback in 1920 and is Australia’s largest domestic and international airline. Qantas is recognised as one of the world’s leading distance airlines, having pioneered services from Australia to North America and Europe. The Qantas Group operates a fleet of 292 aircraft across a network that spans more than 200 destinations over 50 countries including Australia and those served by codeshare partner airlines. Within Australia the airline group operates more than 6,400 flights a week serving 63 cities and regional destinations in all states and mainland territories.
