Porsche Carrera Cup

The purpose-built race car, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup is a regular feature at Albert Park. The stars of Carrera Cup range from experienced high profile racers and young up and comers to business men who can hold their own behind the wheel of a race car. This mix of professional and semi-professional drivers always provides a high level of popularity and exposure and strong foundations for a successful motor racing series. Alex Davison was the big winner at the 2016 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix event taking home the silverware.

A handful of international drivers from the Carrera Cup Asia series, after a successful ‘driver exchange’ will add some international flavour to the ranks of Porsche Carrera Cup competitors.

When not carving up the circuit, you can get up close to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars at the Porsche Carrera Cup Support Paddock in the F1 Fan Zone.
