Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) provides highly trained and fully accredited Assistance Dogs to Australians living with physical disabilities, PTSD and autism.
The charity also trains Educational Support Dogs for schools, Facility and Courthouse Dogs, and Therapy Dogs for use in allied health treatment.
It takes two years and costs more than $60,000 to train and place an Assistance Dog, which is provided to the client at no cost. ADA receives no ongoing government funding, relying on donations from the public and corporate sponsorship.
