The Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 will be Australia's biggest and most watched motorsport event.

Showcasing the best in both on-track and off-track action, some of the world's biggest stars and best drivers are set to deliver an unforgettable experience.

Applications to register your interest to be media personnel at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 are now open.

Note: We are currently working through a new streamlined accreditation process for permanent hard cards of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship who do not wish to apply for FIA Media Accreditation. If you have traditionally held a permanent hard card – or are planning on applying for this accreditation in 2019 – do not fill in the below application. We will ensure a communication is sent out to all 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship accredited media representatives before the cut-off date if you are required to apply. If you wish to apply for FIA Media Accreditation, you will still need to apply below as you have in previous years as the application is submitted directly to the FIA.

There are two levels of media accreditation for the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019, please choose the relevant drop-down box in the online form when you submit your application to ensure your application has the greatest chance of success.

FIA Media Accreditation

Applicable for major media outlets and agencies which meet the minimum circulation and quality to fulfil the criteria of the FIA. To see if you meet the criteria, download the guidelines here. Under no circumstances will advertising, public relations agencies or similar companies and organisations be accredited as FIA media.

Support Category/Event Accreditation

Designed for Australian media outlets whose purpose is to cover the support category events at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 or publications that are wishing to cover the event and all its activities outside of the on-track action of the FIA Formula 1® Championship Event sponsors, public relations professionals working with support category teams or event sponsors or similar companies can apply for this accreditation, however, approval is subject to media numbers and space available in the relevant media centre.

To proceed with your application, please complete the online form in full and return all relevant documentation by Thursday 31 January 2019 for submission to the FIA and AGPC for final approval. In order to complete your online application, you will need to submit the following documents, so please have them ready before you start the process:

  • Headshot
  • Supporting letter
  • Examples of published media

Please note that completion of this application does not guarantee accreditation for the event. Approval is subject to the applicant meeting the media accreditation criteria set by the FIA and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation. Applications will not be accepted beyond the deadline.
