Australia has enjoyed a wide and unique array of competition cars that have written their histories on and off the track. Some of the great names of motorsport will take to the track on each of the four days of the Formula 1® Heineken® Australian Grand Prix 2022 as part of the Shannons Historic Demonstration.
The on-track lineup will also showcase exotic and classic cars, with some of the great names of the world of motorsport, including Lotus, Ferrari, Bentley and Jaguar. As well, Australia’s rich history of taking on the best of international racing in home-built specials – often powered by locally-built engines – will be celebrated with a number of one-off and hand-made cars taking to the track.
The 5.28km Albert Park circuit has witnessed a wide variety of cars in the past year and the 2022 version of the Shannons Demonstration promises to be the best yet, with a large number of owners only too happy to show off their pride and joy after an enforced period of ‘hibernation’.
