Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia

Australia’s fastest one-make series, the Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia will once again bring its signature spectacle of close, intense racing to the 2018 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix.

That’s not all, for 2018 marks the introduction of the brand new 911 GT3 Cup car, and a field of more than 24 of the Stuttgart-built thoroughbreds is set tackle the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit for Round 2 of the series.

Equipped with a new 4.0-litre, rear-mounted engine producing 460bhp, a mix of young guns, highly credentialed veterans and semi-professional racers will pilot the most powerful 911 GT3 Cup cars ever.

Among them may just be a Porsche star of the future. Matt Campbell, the 2016 champion, progressed from the series to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and, after a stellar year in the top tier of Porsche one-make racing, is now embarking on an international GT career as a Porsche Young Professional.
