Hugh Barter
- Car number 25
- Team Campos Racing
- Date of birth 15/9/05
- Place of birth Nagoya, Japan
- FIA F3® debut Bahrain, 2023
Born in Nagoya – a short blast on the shinkansen from Suzuka, home to the Japanese Grand Prix – and growing up in Australia's F1® home of Melbourne, Hugh Barter was seemingly destined to drive open-wheel cars, and rapidly. That he's ended up in the FIA Formula 3® category at 17 is little surprise.

Barter only started racing cars in 2021 – and won on his first weekend in the French F4 Championship en route to finishing runner-up in the category. Last year saw him undertake twin programs in French F4 and Spanish F4, winning 10 of 21 races in the former and six of 21 in the latter to finish second in both series.
Achieving what he did in Spain for Campos Racing last year made the step up to FIA F3® a logical one, and Barter immediately turned heads in pre-season testing in Bahrain where he finished inside the top five.
