Sauber has unveiled its car for the upcoming 2018 Formula 1® season, marking the beginning of their sponsorship with Alfa Romeo.
The car, named C37, was built based on a new-car philosophy, focusing on the aerodynamic concept that is different to that of the outgoing Sauber C36-Ferrari.
This is from a new partnership with Ferrrari which includes up-to-date engines, strategic, commercial and technological cooperation.
Technical chief Joerg Zander believes the C37 will lift Sauber out of their recent struggles.
“The 2018 Ferrari engine will also give us a boost in terms of our performance,” he said.
"We are positive that the new concept offers us more opportunities and will help us to make improvements during the course of the season."
The major changes to the car include the introduction of the halo cockpit protection system and the disappearance of the shark fin and T-wings.
