Beaurepaires back to the track as the official naming partner of the 2020 Beaurepaires Melbourne 400

Beaurepaires is excited to return to the iconic Albert Park circuit as the official naming rights partner for the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 at this year’s Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020.

The Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 is the second round of the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and 2020 represents the second year that Australia’s most trusted tyre retailer Beaurepaires has sponsored the championship race.

The partnership renewal was announced today at the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 launch event at Melbourne’s famous Luna Park - where a host of current Supercars drivers and motorsport legends battled it out on the classic tight dodgem car circuit.

Competition was fierce amongst the select field which included Penrite Racing’s David Reynolds and Anton De Pasquale, Irwin Racing’s Mark Winterbottom and Scott Pye and Todd Hazelwood from Brad Jones Racing.

Supercars Hall of Fame member Larry Perkins was also in attendance with the trophy that bears his name. This coveted trophy is awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points over the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 weekend.

The Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 format for 2020 is an International SuperSprint with four 100 km races across the weekend, one each on Friday and Sunday and two on Saturday at the famous Albert Park track.

2020 also marks the 25th running of the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, which has hosted the event since 1996.

Managing Director, Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres Australia and New Zealand, Chris Radin said Beaurepaires was thrilled to renew the partnership.

“Beaurepaires is committed to Australian motorsport so we are delighted to again partner with this marquee event on the Supercars calendar - with the Grand Prix providing a wonderful international stage for the sport, the teams and Supercars fans,” Radin said.
Chief Executive Officer, Australian Grand Prix Corporation, Andrew Westacott attended the launch, saying: “This year is a special year in Australia’s racing history as we celebrate the 25th running of the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix here at Albert Park.
