The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is pleased to announce that the Chef’s Collective will be returning to the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix with five of Australia’s most notable chefs creating an exclusive bespoke menu for Formula One Paddock Club™ guests to enjoy.
Leaders in the Australian food scene, Jacques Reymond (L’Hotel Gitan and Bistro Gitan), Darren Purchese (Burch and Purchese) and Victor Liong (Lee Ho Fook) will return to the Chef’s Collective, while Miguel Maestre (Maestre Family Food) and Adam D’Sylva (Coda and Tonka) will join as new additions to the group.
Following the success of the initiative last year, AGPC CEO, Andrew Westacott, is thrilled to welcome the Chef’s Collective back to the Formula One Paddock Club™.
“The Chef’s Collective was a fan favourite amongst Formula One Paddock Club™ guests in 2017, so we couldn’t be more proud to continue the collaboration with long-time event caterer, Peter Rowland, for another year and celebrate two of Melburnians’ greatest passions – sport and food,” said Westacott.
“Come March, all eyes will be on Albert Park and we look forward to showcasing to both our local and international guests all that Melbourne has to offer, including the exquisite creations of our Chef’s Collective. We want our guests to return home and spread the word that Melbourne is the food and sporting capital of the world.”
Peter Rowland Chief Executive Officer, Emma Yee, said the Chef’s Collective adds a new dimension to the food offering for guests in the Formula One Paddock Club™.
"The Chef's Collective brings together some of Australia's best and brightest culinary creatives and celebrity chefs to bring the buzz and energy of the nation's food scene,” Yee said.
"With the likes of Victor Liong, Miguel Maestre, Darren Purchese, Jacques Reymond and Adam D'Sylva, along with our own Group Executive Chef, Matthew Haigh, coming together as one elite collective force, you can expect nothing short of culinary excellence.
"We can expect these passionate chefs to deliver an array of culinary delights that push the boundaries and inspire guests."
"Guests will also have the chance to get up close and personal with the chefs who will have a presence in the Formula One Paddock Club™ suites throughout the four days, adding an exciting new dimension to the event experience,” Yee added.
The menus across each of the four days in the Formula One Paddock Club™ suites will feature bespoke creations from the Chef’s Collective, with an exclusive menu created by Peter Rowland to complement the signature dishes.
The Formula One Paddock Club™ suites will be the place to be for all corporate guests, showcasing world-renowned food, hospitality and entertainment, while providing superior views of the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
