Italian Philippe Prette was quickest in two of the three practice sessions of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli - Asia Pacific series at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 on Thursday.
Hong Kong’s David Pun opened the morning in bright fashion, topping the timesheets during the opening practice session at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
Prette was consistent throughout the day, though, and finished fastest in both practice sessions two and three.
Drama marred the final session of the day as FM Korea teammates Jay Park and Andrew Moon collided at Turn 11.
The prang left Moon stranded on the circuit, briefly suspending the session while his car was rescued.
Prette’s third practice time was the fastest of the day, lapping his Ferrari 488 around the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in 2:00.332.
The Italian will be looking to continue his pace into Friday when qualifying commences at 9:35am, before the first race on Saturday morning at 10:45am.
