Excitement is building after it was announced that the second season of popular Netflix series ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ would launch on February 28.

The first series proved immensely popular, providing sports fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the fascinating and thrilling world of Formula 1®.

The follow-up has been long-awaited after it was announced in July 2019 that a second series was in the works.

“We are thrilled to once again be working with Netflix on the second series of Drive to Survive,” Ian Morris, director of media rights at Formula 1®, said at the time.

“It is a truly unique series which allows fans to see the unseen side of F1®, showcasing the personalities and emotions each team and driver goes through, both on and off the grid.”

Series two will provide an insider’s view of the 2019 campaign, in which Lewis Hamilton won his sixth world title.

It was a season dominated by Mercedes, who also won their sixth Constructors’ Championship in a row, but there were a host of flashpoints, including the 2019 German Grand Prix, recently voted by Formula 1® fans as the Race Of The Decade.

The initial series was highlighted by the emotional rollercoaster ridden by Haas team principal Guenther Steiner, the relationship between Red Bull and Renault and the fall-out of a crash between then-teammates Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.
