Heineken® Saturday is here!

A massive day is in store at the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019, co-headlined by a much-anticipated Formula 1® qualifying session and historic 1000th Supercars race.

There is also host of entertainment options on what is sure to be an unmissable day at Albert Park.

On track

Formula 1® qualifying takes centre stage on Saturday, with a one-hour session that begins at 5:00pm.

The likes of Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and local favourite Daniel Ricciardo will battle it out for pole position, the first of the 2019 F1® season.

Qualifying is split up into three distinct segments, with the two drivers who record the fastest laps starting on the front row of the grid.

Earlier in the day, a third Formula 1® practice session runs from 2:00-3:00pm.

The second race of the Beaurepaires Supercars Melbourne 400 is also on the cards, a 70km sprint at 12:50pm that marks the 1000th race in Supercars history.

The 130km evening race will follow, starting from 6:30pm in an action-packed end to proceedings.

The races continue with action in the BP Ultimate Australian GT Championship (9:55am), Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli – Asia Pacific (10:45am), Formula 4 Championship (11:50am) and the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia (3:20pm).

And there is a Lamborghini Parade at 12:20pm, a helicopter handling display from the Royal Australian Navy at 1:30pm, and a RAAF F/A-18 jet display at 4:40pm to entertain fans as well.

Off track

Hot Dub Time Machine teams up with Samsarah and Dan Mac to headline a huge Saturday of music on the Heineken® Stage.

Hot Dub Time Machine plays from 6:00pm-7:30pm, following Eve Speciall (5:00pm-6:00pm), Furnace and the Fundamentals (4:00-5:00pm) and Nite Theory (3:00-4:00pm).

The F1® Fan Zone is sure to prove popular, with fans encouraged to attend Melbourne Walk from 10:15am-12:00pm to meet drivers walking through to the Formula 1® paddock.

There will be F1® Driver Panel Q&A sessions at 12:10pm, 12:30pm and 1:00pm, and Supercars autograph sessions from 3:00pm-3:20pm and 4:10pm-4:30pm.

For more music, Kid Ink (3:15pm) and Blue Velvet (10:30am-11:50am) will perform at The Lounge, with Tim Morrison (3:30pm-6:30pm) at the GP Advantage Members Enclosure.

Joey Cirillo (11:00am-12:00pm) and Josh Bienstein (3:00pm-4:30pm) will play at Club 15, too.

Need a haircut? Jimmy Rods Barbershop at M-Lane will be open from 10:00am, whilst Jade K Beauty Bar is open from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The Strange Fruit Stunt Show (10:00am-5:00pm) and Wheel of Steel Stunt Show (12:00pm, 1:10pm, 3:30pm) will also be running at M-Lane.

Children will be entertained by activations from Jurassic World, Lego Racer Zone, Batman and the Batmobile and Melbourne City Football Club, all starting from 10:00am in the Kids’ Corner.

The Global Barista Challenge (11:00am-3:00pm) and BBQ and Smoked Meats Workshop (10:00am-5:00pm) will be running at F1® Central, and fans can drive a race car simulator on Legends Lane or check out the All4FMX stunt show, running at 11:30am, 12:25pm, 3:00pm and 3:50pm.

Fans can also visit displays at the Innovation & Technology Hub, be wowed by Auto Avenue Car Club displays and see state-of-the-art new cars at the Premium Automotive Showcase.

F1® returns when the highly anticipated Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019 kicks off in Melbourne at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit. The event runs from 14-17 March.
