A stunning success: Best of the 2017 #AusGP

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) has released a commemorative collection of images to celebrate the stunning success of the 2017 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix.

The 2017 #AusGP delivered the ultimate fan experience, showcasing world-class racing, entertainment and glamour, and created an exciting buzz which Melburnians and visitors to Victoria have come to know and love.

The collection of images highlights the many memorable moments of the 2017 #AusGP.

“The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix brings together the biggest names in global sport, high-profile international celebrities and a combination of business and the world’s most powerful and recognisable brands,” said AGPC chairman John Harnden AM.

An estimated 296,600 fans attended the 2017 #AusGP at Albert Park, with an additional 7.314 million viewers nationally across all event days. This followed 390 million viewers worldwide across the 2016 Formula One World Championship season.

“Melbourne is an absolute priority,” said Sean Bratches, Managing Director of Commercial Operations at Formula 1®.

“We have a long-term relationship with them and I expect we are going to be seeing each other every year here for a long time yet.”

The countdown is on to the 2018 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix, which will be held in Melbourne on 22-25 March 2018.
