How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased through the following channels:

*The Grand Prix Ticketmaster Hotline is open from 9:00am-8:00pm (Melbourne time) on Monday-Saturday, and 9:00am-5:00pm on Sunday (excluding public holidays).

Tickets are also available through our travel partner, Grand Prix Travel, including accommodation packages.

The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2019 will be held on the 14-17 March 2019*

How do I become a GP Advantage member in 2019?

  • GP Advantage Gold membership: 9:00am (AEST) 19 June 2018 until 11:59pm (AEST) 31 July 2018*
  • GP Advantage Silver membership: 12:00am (AEST) 1 August 2018 until 11:59pm (AEDT) 30 November 2018*

When does GP Advantage go on sale for 2019?

There are several on-sale periods for GP Advantage membership.

What is a four-day Grandstand ticket?

A four-day Grandstand ticket is a reserved seat in a Grandstand for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the event. The ticket also includes access to Roaming Grandstand seats on Thursday, allowing you to sit in any Grandstand around the circuit.

What is a Three Champions Grandstand ticket?

The Three Champions Grandstand ticket is a reserved seat in a different Grandstand for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the event. The name of the Three Champions Grandstand ticket indicates which Grandstand you will be sitting in on the Sunday of the event.

The Three Champions Grandstand ticket also includes access to Roaming Grandstand seats on Thursday, allowing you to sit in any Grandstand around the circuit.

What does Roaming Grandstand mean?

Roaming Grandstand means you are able to access and experience any Grandstand around the circuit to enjoy the fantastic and unique view lines that each Grandstand can offer. You are able to sit in any Grandstand seat that is available. 

The Roaming Grandstand ticket offer is only available on Thursday. It comes complimentary for customers who purchase a four-day Grandstand or Three Champions Grandstand ticket.

Can I pick my own seats?

Yes. If you are purchasing online, you can select your own seats if you are purchasing a four-day Grandstand ticket.

What is Save Your Seat?

GP Advantage members have the opportunity to secure the same seat/s that they had in 2018 for the 2019 event.

Members can purchase online or through the Grand Prix Ticketmaster Hotline on 1800 100 030.

Save Your Seat for 2019 has now ended.

I am a 2018 GP Advantage member, how do I save my seat?

The Save Your Seat period has now closed.

2020 Save Your Seat period will be confirmed closer after the 2019 event.

What is Preferential Seat?

For 2018 members who did not purchase their 2019 tickets during the Save Your Seat period, they will have the opportunity to purchase new tickets in a different location.

All seats that have not been purchased during the Save Your Seat period will be released to purchase for other members to buy during the Preferential Seat period. Members can purchase online or through the Grand Prix Ticketmaster Hotline on 1800 100 030.

Preferential Seat for 2019 has ended.

What is a payment plan?

A payment plan is only available when purchasing a GP Advantage membership. You will be able to pay for your tickets in three monthly instalments.

When will I receive my GP Advantage membership ticket?

For members that have opted to have their tickets sent to them, tickets will be sent via Australia Post (or UPS courier for international members) from November 2018 for Gold members and from February 2019 for Silver members.

Tickets will only be sent once full payment has been received. If there is a change in expected delivery time, this will be communicated via email.

If you have changed your address, or plan to change your address from 1 October 2018, please email gpadvantage@grandprix.com.au before 1 October 2018 to ensure your details are updated before your tickets are sent out.

Where can I collect my GP Advantage tickets at the circuit?

If you choose to collect your GP Advantage tickets at the circuit, these will be able to be collected from the GP Advantage Ticket Office located at Gate 1 only on event days. The opening dates and times will be confirmed closer to the event.

What is the age of a child in a Grandstand?

Children's tickets are available in all Grandstands. These prices apply to children, who as of Thursday of the event are between 3-12 years of age inclusive.

Infants up to two (2) years of age are permitted to access all Grandstands free of charge if they sit on a parent’s or guardian's lap.

If you require a seat for your infant, you will be required to purchase a ticket for them and the seat they will occupy.

Are there Concession tickets for GP Advantage and Grandstands?

No. Grandstands are only available with Adult and Child ticket prices.

I need to change the type of ticket I have as I am no longer a child, how do I do this?

To change your ticket type from Child to Adult, please contact the Grand Prix Ticketmaster Hotline on 1800 100 030. Click here for contact details and operating hours.

Does my GP Advantage membership automatically roll over each year?

GP Advantage membership does not automatically roll over each year. To renew your membership, you must purchase a four-day Grandstand or Three Champions Grandstand ticket in the nominated period to become a member for the following year.

How do I purchase tickets to attend the GP Advantage Party?

We are currently planning the details for the 2019 GP Advantage Party. An invitation will be sent to GP Advantage members once these have been confirmed with the opportunity to purchase tickets to attend.

What is “early Melbourne Walk access” within the benefits?

By becomng a GP Advantage member, you get the opportunity to gain early access to the circuit on selected days before the general public.

The selected days are dependent on the type of membership you have.

Accessing the circuit before the public gives you the prime opportunity to position yourself strategically at Melbourne Walk and take full advantage of this unique interaction with F1® drivers as they arrive at the circuit.

Since I purchased my ticket, my contact details have changed. How can I update my details?

You have the ability to manage your account and update your details at any time. For change of address, email or phone number, you can log in to your account by clicking here and update your details accordingly.

If you have chosen Mail Delivery for your ticket/s, please also email gpadvantage@grandprix.com.au before 1 September 2018 with your new address to ensure your details are updated before your tickets are sent out.

What happens if I lose my GP Advantage membership ticket?

Contact the Grand Prix Ticketmaster Hotline on 1800 100 030 with your purchase details. Your original tickets will be cancelled.

Depending on when the tickets have been reported missing, tickets will either be sent out to you or made available for collection from the GP Advantage Ticket Office on event days. A fee may be charged for the reissuing of your tickets.

What is “Paddock Club Rooftop Viewing Deck Access” within the benefits?

GP Advantage members will have the opportunity to access the Paddock Club Rooftop Viewing Deck on Thursday of the event to enjoy the magnificent views of the Albert Park Circuit and the cars from the Support Categories as they fly down Walker Straight.

Access to the Paddock Club Rooftop Viewing Deck is via the South stairs adjacent to the Pit Lane queuing area of the Paddock Club building. Please note that there is NO ACCESS to the Paddock Club Hospitality Suites, access is only to the rooftop viewing deck.
