The 2017 season was another outstanding year for Daniel Ricciardo, who finished fifth in the Drivers’ Championship, one spot above Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen. Besides a few retirements throughout the season, the Australian driver finished in the top six in all the races he completed.
He had a career high nine podium finishes, and the highlight of the season was a win in Baku at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
After making his Formula 1® debut in 2011, Ricciardo has resonated with fans, with his big grin and ‘shoey’ celebration fast becoming a favourite amongst race-goers, and the public in general.
The Aussie finished third in the Drivers’ Championship in both 2014 and 2016 and is looking to find his way back into that esteemed club in 2018.
