Waite Grandstand

There is only one place to watch skill breed victory

Be inspired in the Grandstand named after the first ever Australian Grand Prix winner, 1928 champion Arthur Waite. This Grandstand showcases the corners that Formula 1® cars are made for – the fast switchback between Turns 11 and 12.

Here, the world's best launch into the apex at 225 km/h in sixth gear before rapidly changing direction into Turn 12, and then it's hard on the power – all in a matter of seconds.

Witness the commitment of the gladiators in the cockpit, and the downforce of their incredible machines. Opposite the Waite Grandstand is a superscreen that shows action from the rest of the track in real-time, so you won't miss a beat.

Food and bar facilities are a short walk away, and the Waite Grandstand also features unreserved disabled seating.

The 4-Day Pass includes a reserved seat in the Waite Grandstand on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and an unreserved roaming Grandstand ticket on Thursday. Access to the Fangio and Fangio Premium Grandstands on Thursday is included for all GP Advantage members.
