ACCESSIBILITY OVERVIEW
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) recognises and seeks to meet the diverse and inclusive needs of its patrons.
AGPC promotes ongoing consideration and awareness of patrons with a disability. Our Event’s accessibility and inclusion program assists in being responsive to the changing expectations of our accessibility and inclusion services.
The information below is intended to provide an overview of accessible services available at the FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2027.
Accessible Services Office
The Accessible Services Office can be found inside Gate 1 and aims to assist with any enquiries relating to accessibility, including shuttle bus bookings, wheelchair hire and other event information and brochures.

GETTING TO THE EVENT
Accessible Drop Off and Pick Up
There are accessible drop off and pick up points at Gates 1, 2 and 10. These can be found on the Visitor Map.
Accessible Parking
Limited accessible parking is available at the event. Applications for accessible parking will open on 1st February 2027. To access the car park, vehicles must display both a valid Australian Disability Parking (ADP) Permit and a day specific Australian Grand Prix accessible parking permit.
Public Transport
A range of accessible public transport options are available to travel to and from the event:
- Trams: Tram Route 96 features low-floor trams, with some stops providing level access. Tram Routes 5, 6 and 16 also operate a mix of low-floor trams and level-access stops. For more information about tram accessibility, please visit the Yarra Trams Accessibility page.
- Trains: Metro Trains services to Anzac Station are low floor, and the station includes lift access.
- Entrance Assistance: Travellers Aid assistance will be available at Gates 1, 5 and 10, providing wheelchair and buggy transfers between nearby tram stops, Anzac Station and the event entrances.
Travellers Aid
Travellers Aid is a friendly and professional service offering support and assistance to the travelling public, including people with special requirements or who are experiencing travel emergencies.
Travellers Aid will assist patrons with accessible needs at Gates 1, 5 and 10 throughout all four event days:
- Wheelchair support from Tram stop 130 Middle Park to the main entrance (Gate 1)
- Wheelchair support from bus drop-off point (Richardson Street) to Gate 1 (on demand)
- Wheelchair support from Tram stop 20 and Metro Tunnel stop Anzac Station to Gate 5 entrance
- Buggy Transfer Service from the corner of St Kilda Road and Fitzroy Street to Gate 10
- Wheelchair support from Gate 10 to the Reserved Accessible Platform
- Coordinate collection and delivery with the internal accessible shuttle bus
Travellers Aid is also centrally located at Flinders Street Station (within the ticketed barrier area, between Platforms 9 and 10) and at Southern Cross Station (under the Bourke Street Bridge, opposite Luggage Hall).
GETTING AROUND THE EVENT
Accessible Shuttle Bus
A free wheelchair-accessible shuttle operates within the circuit.
This vehicle is available to transport customers with mobility impairments and strictly one carer or companion. Any requirements for additional companions will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis depending on service levels. At all times, priority will be given to customers in wheelchairs and with walking aids.
Wheelaway is an on-call service, bookings can be made by calling Wheelaway on 1800 133 320.
Wheelchairs & Overpass Lifts
Wheelchairs
A limited number of wheelchairs are available to hire from the Accessible Services Office at Gate 1.
Lifts at Overpass 1
Lifts are available at Overpass 1, providing access between the outfield and infield without needing to use the accessible shuttle bus.
FACILITIES & AMENITIES
Accessible Toilets
Accessible toilets are available at most toilet blocks around the circuit. Please refer to the event map for exact locations.
Changing Places Facility - Marveloo
The changing places facility is designed to meet the needs of people who require additional assistance or services that cannot be found in standard accessible facilities.
Changing Place facilities are purpose-built and provide the following features:
- Fully accessible toilet
- Overhead ceiling hoist (rated to 1000kg)
- Height-adjustable adult change table
- Additional seating
- Safe and clean environment
- Adequate space
- Access ramp
- Automatic taps
- Privacy curtain for when a carer is present
Prior to use, all users are required to provide their own sling for use of the overhead ceiling hoist and are advised to check that their sling is compatible with the ceiling hoist provided in the facility.
The facility at the event is fitted with a Prism Medical Model C-450 Ceiling Hoist. If compatibility has not been checked or there is some uncertainty, the user should not use the ceiling hoist.
Sensory & Quiet Rooms
A Sensory Room is available at Gate 2 outfield, offering a calm and welcoming environment designed to support neurodivergent fans and those who may benefit from a lower sensory space. In addition, quiet rooms can be found at Turn 12 outfield and Pit Stop Park.
Multi-Faith Prayer Rooms
There are two multi-faith prayer rooms that provide a quiet and inclusive space for reflection, meditation, and prayer. Open to attendees of all faiths and beliefs, it is equipped with rugs, cushions, seating and shoe racks. One is located in Pit Stop Park and the other is located at Gate 2 outfield.
Service Animal Relief Areas
There are two service animal relief areas located around the circuit. Each area is equipped with a water bowl, waste bag dispenser, and umbrella. These facilities can be found at Gates 2 and 10 outfield.
TRACKSIDE & ENTERTAINMENT
Auslan Interpreters
Auslan interpreters are available at key locations including the Main Stage and Tech Talk Stage. These services ensure Deaf and hard-of-hearing fans can enjoy Q&As, fan forum sessions and concerts.
Closed Captioning
Closed captioning will be available on all super-screens during the FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2027.

Entertainment Access & Viewing Platforms
An accessible viewing platform will be available at the Main Stage and along Melbourne Walk. Select merchandise outlets will feature ramp access to support easier entry and exit. Additionally, most partner activations will include ramps to ensure inclusive fan engagement.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation is proud to be a member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower - Australia & New Zealand initiative at the FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2027.
This program aims to support and raise awareness for those living with a hidden disability, and we have trained our staff to recognise the Sunflower and offer support to wearers.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower will be welcomed at our event by wearing the Sunflower pin, wristband or lanyard.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
AGPC is affiliated with Companion Cards to ensure all patrons of the FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2027 have full and equal access to the event.
When the holder of a Companion Card purchases a ticket to the event, a second ticket will be issued for their companion at no charge, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Companion Card. A ticket for a companion must be requested at the time of booking.
To select this, select the accessible button at the top of the booking page to proceed. For all other accessible needs not requiring a wheelchair but requiring a companion ticket, please call the Ticketmaster accessible hotline on 1800 100 030.
Please note that concession prices do not apply to Hospitality tickets. If you purchase a Hospitality ticket to the event and hold a Companion card, a complimentary ticket for your companion will not be issued. Companions must also purchase a Hospitality ticket.
