By the mid-1960s, Corvettes powered by the immortal 327cubic inch Chevrolet V8 were regular national winners in the Sports Car Club of America’s (SCCA) B-Production class.

This car was imported to Australia in 2010 and has been race prepared by JKJ automotive in Melbourne.

As with all Group S category historic race cars the mild modifications allowed make the Corvettes star attractions at historic race meetings not only for their unique looks, but also for the raw sound of their rumbling V8s.

The car still presents in the original Nassau Blue paintwork and powered by a 5.4 litre 327ci V8 small block, a Muncie M22 4-speed gearbox and 3.9 Posi-traction rear end.

This Group Sb racecar has now competed in over 50 national events, and continues to be a competitive front runner, preferring high horsepower tracks, however , continuous suspension and handling improvements now make it a much friendlier proposition on the shorter tracks.
