The hotly anticipated S5000 support category will kick start its brand-new triple-header series at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit. Featuring a 5-litre V8 engine, the thundering cars can reach speeds of up to 300kph, making the S5000 Australia’s fastest national race category and a must-see spectacle.
The S5000 grid is expected to feature some of Australia’s best grassroots talent, alongside well-known racing legends and the possibility of international participation.
Porsche Carrera Cup
The Porsche Carrera Cup is the premier one-make championship in Australia, with drivers competing in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (991 Gen II) race cars.
The series races across the country at the biggest motorsport events in Australasia. This includes the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2022.
The new 992 generation 911 GT3 Cup car will make its Australian debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup in 2022.
