Tuesday, 27 October 2020

The 11-time Grand Prix winner has spoken on the podcast.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation podcast In the Fast Lane has released this week’s episode with 11-time Grand Prix winner, Felipe Massa.

Massa remembers his days as Michael Schumacher's teammate at Ferrari, compares Schumacher with Lewis Hamilton after Hamilton broke Schumacher's Formula 1® win record in Portugal, and recalls his title near-miss at home in the unforgettable 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix.

When discussing his time racing with Schumacher, Massa is full of respect and praise for his Ferrari teammate saying that they had a great relationship.

“He was definitely a mate, a teacher, somebody I definitely was always a fan of. And then I see myself driving next to him. It was just an amazing feeling, an amazing feeling in the way I have a lot to learn and an amazing feeling in the way that I have a big challenge to beat someone like Michael Schumacher, it was definitely a big challenge and I learned massively,” Massa said.

“It was a great relationship, I was looking to him more of a master than a competition in the end,” Massa continued.

The podcast is available on Spotify, Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts platforms.
