Festival of Motorsport to bring much-needed visitation to Phillip Island and Bass Coast Region

Thursday, 5 August 2021

Supercars will headline the Festival.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is delighted to announce the Bass Coast Festival of Motorsport will take place at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit from 22-24 October 2021.

Supercars will headline the Festival and will be racing in the Bunnings Trade Phillip Island Supersprint as their lead-in event before Bathurst.

The unique event will also feature championship rounds for both four and two-wheel Australian motorsport categories including the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship and Porsche Carrera Cup, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Bass Coast Festival of Motorsport will provide a valuable boon for Phillip Island’s tourism economy, adding value to local businesses through revenue and employment opportunities, while a range of local businesses, artists and producers will be showcased at the event itself.

The three-day festival is being staged on what would have been the location and dates of the 2021 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, which was cancelled due to restrictions and logistical challenges relating to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
