Monday, 18 August 2025

Piastri will join a number of other Australian drivers who have a grandstand named after them around the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.

Oscar Piastri’s sensational early career accomplishments in the world’s premier motorsport category will be honoured with a grandstand named after him at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit from 2026.

Piastri, who was born and raised in Melbourne, is in his third season of Formula 1® and has already matched or surpassed the number of career wins by some of his fellow Australian racers. Sitting at the top of the driver’s leaderboard with 14 out of 24 races complete for the 2025 season, and with his McLaren team comfortably leading the Constructors Championship, Piastri’s podium-winning streak shows no signs of slowing down.
