Antonio Giovinazzi: There are two sides to Kimi Raikkonen

The Italian talks about his relationship with his teammate.

The Australian Grand Prix podcast In the Fast Lane has released its latest episode featuring Alfa Romeo Racing driver Antonio Giovinazzi.

Giovinazzi joined In the Fast Lane co-hosts Matt Clayton and Michael Lamonato to reflect on his unusual career path to F1®, remembers his last-minute debut for Sauber in Australia in 2017 and talks about his relationship with teammate Kimi Raikkonen.

Giovinazzi and Raikkonen have been teammates for the past three years, Giovinazzi shares how happy he was to have him as a teammate and how he is a very different person away from the camera.

“In 2019 when I knew my teammate would be Kimi, I was really happy because he was the best teammate for me, he was a driver with a lot of experience,” said Giovinazzi.

“We have a really good relationship together, I can tell you Kimi is very funny outside of the camera. Inside the track when the camera is not there, he’s really funny and we enjoy him,” he continued

“A plus for the team is to have two drivers with good relationships, that improves the car and the team, is the best way.”
