Launching our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan
Monday, 1 September 2025
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is proud to launch our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), a significant milestone in our journey towards contributing to a more inclusive and reconciled Australia.
This RAP formalises our commitment to continuous learning, respectful engagement, and meaningful action. It reflects our aspiration to contribute to an Australia where First Nations peoples are free from discrimination and where their cultures, histories, and contributions are respected and celebrated.
As the organisers of the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, we recognise the unique opportunity we have to use our platform to amplify First Nations voices and stories. Through the actions outlined in our Reflect RAP, we aim to foster a culturally safe environment, both on and off the track.
Throughout our Reflect RAP is the impactful artwork of Kobi Sainty, a Bunurong and Palawa contemporary artist. Since 2023, Kobi has shared Bunurong stories and First Nations culture through his art at the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix. His design for the RAP, ‘Lap of the Land, Community and Place’, is a vibrant visual celebration of Culture, Country, and Community. It honours the traditions and connections that link us all, with particular reverence for the Bunurong peoples and their deep relationship with the land.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Scott McCartney, AGPC’s First Nations Consultant and Co-Chair of the Reflect RAP, for his leadership and cultural guidance throughout this process. We also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the Bunurong Land Council, Reconciliation Australia, and all First Nations peoples and organisations who have supported us on this journey. We look forward to continuing this important work together, building relationships, embedding cultural protocols, and creating opportunities that honour and celebrate First Nations cultures across all aspects of our operations.
