Under the Major Events Act 2009 (Vic) (“ME Act”), it is an offence for a ticket to this event to be resold, offered or advertised for resale for an amount that exceeds 10% above the face value price of the ticket unless the seller is authorised in writing by the event organiser.
Breaching the ME Act can result in heavy fines of up to $122,106 for an individual and $610,530 for a company.
Purchasing a ticket from an unauthorised seller can result in the ticket holder being denied entry to the event.
