If the Formula 1® Heineken® Australian Grand Prix 2022 is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled within 2022, all paying ticket holders will be eligible for a full refund (see Condition 10.2 of our Attendance Conditions which are available to view here.
We continue to work closely with health authorities and the Victorian Government as we develop our plans for fan attendance. Our expansive parkland venue with 10.6 km of track frontage provides us with the perfect opportunity to create a COVID-Safe venue.
For the event, AGPC has developed a set of COVID-19 Special Conditions that include refund options for COVID-19 related circumstances.
These terms allow a patron to obtain a refund where that patron is prevented from travelling to Victoria for the Event due to Australian State, Territory or Federal government travel restrictions which were introduced after the patron purchased their ticket, provided the patron notifies AGPC at least 7 days’ prior to the first day of the Event of their need to cancel their ticket and seek a refund, and can provide any evidence to support the patron’s circumstances as requested by AGPC.
It’s important to understand that if a patron purchases a ticket to the Event at a time when the border between Victoria / Australia and the patron’s home State / Country is closed, the patron will not be eligible for a refund. In these circumstances, the patron will be refunded the total retail price paid for the ticket, less any credit card and other third-party fees. AGPC will not pay for any other costs or expenses, including travel and accommodation.
International visitors can book tickets to the event however, they should be aware of the limited right to a refund explained in FAQ 3. Based on Government advice, Australian borders are not currently open for international visitors. We strongly recommend international visitors (with the exception of those from New Zealand), do not purchase tickets to our event unless Australia’s border is open to the visitor’s home country at the time they purchase the ticket. Please review the Australian Government Department of Health website here for all updates.
